Take some time to just chill with the Living God and praise him. Let him know 5 things that you love or appreciate about him. They can be about his character or about something he has done for you or for us (humans).
Turn to Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-41; Acts 8:37-38; Acts 16:31-34; Romans 6:3-4;1 Peter 3:21; Galatians 3:27; Colossians 2:12. Use support from the Scriptures to explain your answers.
- In your own words, why do Christians baptize? Or, why are Christians baptized? Where do you see that reason in these Scriptures?
- What is the purpose of baptism according to these Scriptures? Or, what does baptism do/what happens when we're baptized?
- If you have been baptized, what was significant about your baptism (why was it important)?
- If you haven't been baptized, would you want to be and why? What does it mean to you?
Peace.

1) I think Christians baptize because they see it as a way to get closer to Jesus. They also listen to the scriptures that talk about baptizing.
2) I see the reason in a few of the passages. It talks about the Jail Keeper taking and baptizing some and just other spots about if you are baptized then you will live with Jesus in life and the grave then you will go to heaven to be with him.
3) The purpose is so you are buried with him through your faith. You are forgiven of your sins when you are baptized.
4) I have been baptized. I was a newborn when I was. I dont remember it at all but my church family and my family were both there and loving to me and still are. Being baptized makes me feel closer to our Father.
1. I think that Christians baptize because it was something that had been a tradition for a long time for representing a person turning to Christ. Also, Christ told everyone to go out and baptize people so we still do.
2. The purpose is for people to turn to God with a clear conscience because Jesus was raised to life. What happens is you go to heaven if you keep following God.
3. It is significant because it symbolizes a person giving up their soul and life to Christ to live for him.
4. I was baptized as an infant, but if I wasn't, I definitely would want to be. It is a big decision though. Being baptized means to me that it is a promise you are making that you will try your hardest to follow God and make him proud.
